Report card software for schools
One set of marks does the whole term's paperwork.
Teachers enter marks per subject. The broadsheet ranks the class, and the terminal report prints for the parent to sign, from the same marks.
The terminal report
A report card that prints, ready to sign.
Marks per subject, the position in class, the term's attendance and the class teacher's remark on one sheet. A teacher writes remarks for their own classes only; the head and the proprietor see every class.

Class teacher's remark
Reads with confidence. Encourage her handwriting.
In the parent app
The parent reads it once the school issues it.
An issued report card sits at the end of the child's Work tab in the parent app. Drafts never appear, and the class rank stays blank until a card that carries one is issued.

The broadsheet
How the marks add up.
- Marks per subject
- Set a piece of work, then mark it child by child, out of its own maximum.
- A broadsheet for any set of papers
- Every child and every subject on one sheet, with an average and a position. It builds as you tick the papers; there is nothing to save.
- Percentages side by side
- Each cell is a percentage, so papers marked out of different totals sit in the same table.
- Fair averages
- The average is of the subject columns, so a subject tested twice does not count double. A child marked absent is left out, not given a zero.
- Shared positions
- Children on the same average share a position. A child with nothing marked keeps their row but gets no position.
- The same sum everywhere
- The broadsheet and the report card are worked out by the same code, so a parent comparing the two finds the same number.
- Mock exams apart
- Record mocks as their own kind of work, and pick them out without the real papers.
- Attendance that is fair
- The report card counts attendance only over days a person actually marked.
