Children do not have accounts

No child signs in to Clarvyn. Records about a child are entered by the school, and read by the school’s staff and by that child’s own guardians. There is no pupil login, no pupil-facing app and no messaging between pupils.

Who can see a child’s record

• Staff at that child’s school, according to what the school grants them.
• That child’s registered guardians, through the parent app.
• Roam Labs staff, only to operate or support the service, with the access recorded.

No other school can see it. No signed-in parent from another school can see it. Nothing about a child is published on this website.

Four things we will not do

• We do not use children’s data for advertising, and we show no adverts.
• We do not sell it or share it for anyone else’s commercial purposes.
• We do not use it to train machine-learning models.
• We do not publish it, including in the public school directory on this site.

Photographs

A school can upload photographs and tag the children in them. A tagged photograph is identifying data about a child, so it stays inside the school and its parents by default. A photograph reaches this public website only if it is separately marked for the web, item by item. The default is private, and nothing flips it in bulk.

The parent forum names no school

Parents post on the forum under their own name, and those posts are readable here on the open web. A badge says a parent’s place was verified; it never says at which school. That is deliberate: a real name beside a school name would publish where a particular child is every weekday. See the forum and the forum terms.

If you want a child’s record removed

Ask the school first: it is the controller and it can act immediately. If you would rather come to us, see deleting your account.
